When does Amazon Black Friday 2020 start?
You can start shopping for Amazon’s early Black Friday deals right away, but the bulk of the best deals haven’t arrived yet. Black Friday officially takes place on the Friday after Thanksgiving – November 27th of this year. However, we expect that Amazon Black Friday begins November 19th when their Holiday Dash event ends.

What Amazon Black Friday Deals Should We Expect In November?
While we may not know everything Amazon has in store for Black Friday 2020, there is a good chance it will look similar to what we saw on Prime Day. Some of the standout features of this sale were numerous iPad deals, loads of TV deals, and a few discounts on MacBooks. There were also the standard Kindle and Amazon Echo offerings, which offered smart speakers at rock-bottom prices.
You can also expect kitchen gadgets and appliances to come up for sale. Almost every year, there are more Instant Pot deals and cheap air fryers for sale than ever before. With that in mind, you should look for deals on coffee machines and robotic vacuums, as Amazon is known for dropping prices on these sharply.
What you probably won’t see are the best laptop deals and computer monitor sales of the year. Many of the items that were in high demand at the start of the pandemic no longer have older stocks that can be sold at low prices. While you can see some of these discounts here or there, they’ll be as rare as Nintendo Switch this year.
Will Amazon have Cyber Monday deals this year?
Usually, Amazon has a huge Cyber Monday sale. Over the past few years, the online retailer has hosted a long series of deals after Black Friday, Cyber Deals Week. We’re not sure if Amazon will be in the shopping event this year, but if it does, you can expect many of the same deals as the previous two sales.
Will Amazon Black Friday be better than Prime Day?
It is very likely that Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday sales will be very similar. You’ll see the same deep discounts on Alexa-enabled devices, Kindles, and Fire TVs that it offers at every shopping event, along with loads of eerily similar kitchen gadget deals.
Where Amazon Black Friday can deviate from Prime Day is in competition. While a few other retailers joined the Prime Day fun this year, not all of them did. That said, if other sellers offer better price reductions than Amazon, it is very likely that Amazon will automatically hit the lowest price.
Will other retailers have better Black Friday sales?
Almost every online retailer, with the exception of Home Depot, will have a Black Friday sale in 2020. While we don’t know yet if Walmart, Best Buy, and Target discounts will beat Amazon deals in 2020, we do know that these sales will start sooner. Here are the start times for each event:
Amazon Black Friday: Amazon is currently offering early Black Friday deals in the form of its Holiday Dash event. This sale is expected to last through November 19th. Then we expect the official start of Amazon Black Friday sales.
Best Buy Black Friday: The Best Buy Black Friday ad sales are ongoing. You can register for free to receive an automatic price adjustment for selected items on Black Friday by November 28th.
Target Black Friday: Target sales have started and new offers are added every week.
